We’re really excited to be supporting experts of the outdoor performance world And Now on their upcoming Brighton Festival 2015 commission Fleeting. It’s been refreshing to brush up on our field recording skills, and for once treat sound as the star, rather than the accompaniment to the image.
Last year Tom was asked to combine his love of popup cinema events with his background in live events and write a guide for people thinking about organising temporary screening events. The report, commissioned by Film Hub SE, provides a practical guide for organisers planning popup cinema events.
Four excerpts of the film we made last July with sonic artist Thor McIntyre-Burnie have been selected to appear in Make:Believe. UK Design for Performance 2011 – 2015. The exhibition of theatre design is in Nottingham Trent University from 14th – 31st January 2015.
This January marks Shy Camera’s first birthday and one year on it’s great to reflect back on our startup year. Starting a new business presented a whole bunch of surprises, challenges, and we’ve learnt a hell of a lot over the last 12 months. Looking back on this first year I thought I’d share eight things we’ll definitely be taking forward into 2015.
